A 43-year-old Blaine County man is charged with first-degree arson for a weekend house fire that caused $400,000 in damage. The Idaho Mountain Express reports Patrick S. Busby was charged Monday. Magistrate Court Judge R. Ted Israel set Busby's bail at $100,000 and he remained jailed Tuesday. Prosecutors allege Busby used two 5-gallon plastic containers of gasoline to set the house on fire Saturday evening after an argument with his wife, who had already left the residence. Law enforcement received a report at 7:47 p.m. of a domestic disturbance in which a man was threatening to set his house on fire. The fire was reported eight minutes later at the house north of Hailey. Sheriff's Lt. Curtis Miller's report says Busby broke a kitchen window to escape the house.
