BLM Seeking Applicants for Summer Jobs
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)-The Bureau of Land Management is looking for people to work seasonal positions this summer in the Magic Valley. The BLM is now openly recruiting for the field offices in Shoshone and Burley for park rangers, biological science technicians, and range technicians.
Job vacancies are posted to the government job website with directions on how to apply for the specific openings which the BLM will fill with one to three candidates. Pay can range from $13.32 to 16.73 an hour depending on the applicant's education and experience. The BLM said some jobs will start in early spring or early summer and run until September. Officials say people should apply soon because some the dates of opening and closing vary depending on the job.
Both field offices will be willing to extend normal business hours (M-F 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) upon request if the applicants need help during the process. Officials said the jobs are good opportunities for students to get hands-on learning for careers in the natural resource-related field.
