FORT HALL, Idaho (KLIX) – A Burley man was sent to the hospital Tuesday night after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash near Fort Hall.

Idaho State Police investigated the crash that happened a little after 8 p.m. on Interstate 15 at milepost 84.5, north of Fort Hall.

Floyd E. Gross, 74, of Chubbuck was driving a 1978 Chevrolet pickup and entered the northbound lanes of I-15 from an emergency cross over, according to ISP. Kevin M. Johnson, 23, of Burley was driving northbound on I-15 in a 1999 Honda Accord. Johnson's vehicle impacted with the rear of Gross' vehicle.

The passenger in Gross' vehicle, Zeth A. Beesley, 23, of Goose Creek, S.C., was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. Johnson was transported by private vehicle to an unknown medical facility, according to ISP. Johnson was wearing a seatbelt. Neither Gross nor Beesley were wearing seatbelts.

The right lane of traffic was blocked for about 90 minutes. ISP is still investigating the crash.
