Chinook Fishing Season Coming to a Close in Idaho
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) If you planned to go fishing for Chinook salmon this year you may need to wait until next season or possibly this fall if Idaho wildlife managers decide to allow anglers one last chance this year. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game announced the end of the season for the Snake, Little Salmon and Upper Salmon rivers will end on Sunday, July 30. Idaho Fish and Game says the harvest goals are being met or the Chinook run has ended. An official announcement on the agencies website says a possible fall season may be considered at the upcoming meeting of Fish and Game Commissioners Thursday in northern Idaho.
