Crews Continue Repaving Efforts on Parts of I-84
HAZELTON, Idaho (KLIX) – Roadway continues to be reduced to two lanes for repaving efforts in at least a couple of areas on Interstate 84 between Hazelton and Burley, according to the Idaho Transportation Department.
One area where crews continue to work is between exits 194 and 208 (about four miles east of the Hazelton area to six miles west of the Burley area).
Be cautious when traveling through the area because crews have been working in the median, according to the transportation department. A reduced speed limit of 65 mph remains in effect. ITD expects work to be completed by Aug. 18.
Crews are repaving the westbound lanes of this section of the interstate, necessitating the shifting traffic to the eastbound lanes through the construction zone.
“Use caution in median cross-overs.,” ITD says. “Ramp closures at Exit 201 are possible.”
Crews also continue to repave a portion of the interstate from exits 173 and 194 (one to nine miles west of the Hazelton area), also reducing traffic to two lanes. The speed limit through this area is 70 mph, according to ITD.
Work on this section is scheduled to last through Nov. 17.
