TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – Magic Valley residents of differing nationalities came out to celebrate on Friday evening at the College of Southern Idaho.

The annual event – Magic Valley Refugee Day – was an effort to celebrate the diversity of the area and give visitors a chance to hear speeches, taste food and see entertainment from the countries represented.

Countries included Afghanistan, Burma, Burundi and Iraq, among others.

Some young people played games, while family watched the dancers and other performers on the stage. A number of informational booths also were set up, including one by CSI that offered pamphlets about its refugee program and the different countries represented at the event.

Below are some pictures of the eighth annual event.
