In case you haven't noticed, Idaho is one of the most unique places on Earth. Some people like to use the word 'weird', but I prefer 'unique'. That description also includes our cedar trees.

Reddit user Safedevil ('unique' name, by the way) shared this pic recently of the giant cedar that resides near Elk River, Idaho about halfway between Boise and Sandpoint. This is the same tree that earned its own entire article on Only In Your State last year.

People that were commenting on Reddit were guessing that the tree is over 2,000 years old. That's good because you know a lot of very trustworthy scientists spend their time on Reddit. (*sarcasm*) Only In Your State claims 3,000 years old and I'm going with their guess.

If you're thinking "cool, let's go visit", keep in mind this is a very hefty drive from Twin Falls.
