Idaho Woman Killed When Car Hits Farm Equipment
WEISER, Idaho (KLIX)-A 67-year-old woman died when the vehicle she was a passenger in hit a piece of farming equipment being moved down a highway north of the Treasure Valley.
According to Idaho State Police, June Smith, of Weiser died at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise after being flown there November 5, in a crash on U.S. Highway 95 in Washington County. ISP said Smith had been a passenger in a mid-90's Volvo car when it hit a piece of farm equipment being pulled by a tractor.
The driver of the Volvo, Julie Walker, 48, and Smith had not been wearing a seat belt; the driver was taken to Weiser Memorial Hospital. The driver of the tractor did not need to be transported. The crash blocked part of the highway for nearly three hours. Washington County Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation.
