The road conditions haven't been the best this month in Idaho, keeping many in the state off the roads. As winter continues, there will be many days that Idahoans avoid driving to stay safe and off the icy and snow-covered roads. After a long winter, or on a nice day when the snow and ice are gone, you should jump in your car and go for a drive to get out of the house for a bit. When it comes to driving, there are certain states that many look forward to going through, and there are also states that many dread having to travel through. WalletHub recently released a list ranking the best and worst states to drive through and ranked them using categories such as cost of ownership and maintenance, traffic and infrastructure, safety, and access to vehicles and maintenance. Using these criteria it was determined that Iowa is the best state to drive in, with Georgia being second, and Kansas being third. The worst state to drive in is Hawaii, with Washington being the second worst, and Delaware rounding out the bottom three.

When it comes to driving in Idaho, the state ranks well and is one of the better states to drive in, coming in at 14 on the list. Idaho is 25 in cost of ownership and maintenance, 4 in traffic and infrastructure, 34 in safety, and 42 in access to vehicles and maintenance. One other thing working in Idaho's favor is that it has the fourth-lowest car theft rate in the entire country. One thing this list does not take into account when it comes to driving is scenery and wrecks. Wrecks may work against Idaho, where scenery would likely increase its ranking.
