Get Out to These 8 Events in Southern Idaho This June Weekend

The summer is going by quickly, but many families have already gotten out and taken vacations, had some summer fun, and are enjoying the season. This time of year the weekends are packed full of events to get out and have some fun. This weekend will not be the one to hit the lake or pool as the temperature will be much cooler than normal, but that doesn't mean you can't get out and have fun. Take advantage of the cooler temperature and attend one of the many events this weekend taking place in Southern Idaho.

Thursday, June 19 - Jordan World Circus

Everyone should attend a circus at least once in life and on Thursday, June 19 you will have two chances to attend the circus in Jerome. The Jordan World Circus will be happening on Thursday at 4 PM and at 7 PM. Tickets vary depending on when you buy them and how many people you have going with you. Thursday, June 19 Through Saturday, June 21 - 'Matilda Jr.' at Orpheum Theatre

This weekend is a great weekend to go to the theatre with the weather being cooler and possibly ruining outdoor plans. The Orpheum Theatre will have 'Matilda Jr.' performed on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Showtimes will be at 7 PM on Thursday and Friday and at 2 PM on Saturday. Tickets start as low as $15. No, you are not seeing the same event twice and your eyes are not misleading you. 'Matilda' will be performed at two different locations this weekend, and ironically will be performed on the same days at the same times. It is up to you which cast you want to see or which theatre is your preference. 'Matilda' will be performed at the Historic Wilson Theatre on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 PM on Thursday and Friday and at 2 PM on Saturday. Tickets start as low as $15. Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22 - HWY 93 Vendor Show

The Magic Valley is one of the best places when it comes to vendor shows. There are many talented people in the area who make crafts, food, clothes, and décor. This weekend you will have the chance to shop and browse what these vendors have to offer at the HWY 93 Vendor Show happening at The Mountain View Barn at 392 E 300 S in Jerome. Saturday, June 21 - Boise Music Festival

Boise Music Festival is finally here. It will be a day packed with music, food, drinks, and fun. Gates open at 10 AM and it will go all day long. Saturday, June 21 - Movie Matinee

When the weather is bad it isn't a bad idea to stay inside and enjoy a movie. Instead of staying home or spending money at the cinema, get out to the Twin Falls Public Library for Movie Matinee. It is a free movie that will happen at 3 PM on Saturday and this week they will be showing 'Dungeons and Dragons'. Saturday, June 21 - Legacy Fest

Many are disappointed that HWY 30 Music Fest isn't happening this weekend, but there is a way to still see some of the bands that were set to perform and have a good time this weekend. Legacy Fest will be happening this Saturday at Legacy Fields, with gates opening at 5 PM. There will be a vendor show, a car show, food trucks, a water balloon fight, and live music. Saturday, June 21 - 'Scriptless in Seattle'

After a long week sometimes it is nice to get out and have a good laugh to forget the stress of the world and of work. This weekend presents a great opportunity for a date night or a night to laugh and cheer you up. 'Scriptless in Seattle' will be taking place this Saturday at the Orpheum Theatre at 7 PM and will be an improv comedy show similar to the television show 'Whose Line is it Anyway?'.
