Idaho is historically a red state. The state's veins run red with Republican blood, but there is a little blue spot in there.

Idaho pays homage to Democrats in a way it doesn’t for the Republicans.

In every county in the state, registered Republicans outnumber registered Democrats. It’s pretty close in Blaine County, with a difference of only around 50 people.

Through the state, there are around 440K residents registered as Republican and around 113K Democrats. Idaho even had Democratic Governors not long ago in the '70s and '80s.

Proof That Idaho Doesn’t Hate Democrats Found in its Geography

But if you want to see the true and hidden love we have for Democrats, you only need to head to the mountains southwest of Boise.

Nestled in the hills and surrounded by small lakes is Democrat, Idaho.

Why it’s there and how it got its name, we don’t know. Is it a campsite or a buried treasure?

There’s no information anywhere that we could find about the location other than a red pin marker on a map. Maybe it’s pointing to the only true Democrat in the state?

For what it's worth, there isn't a place on the map called Republican.
