Chart-Topping Band Warrant Coming To Jackpot NV For Two Shows
A rock band that achieved worldwide popularity in the eighties with multiple chart-topping hits is coming to Jackpot, Nevada, in January for back-to-back evening performances.
Warrant is regarded as one of the most commercially-successful glam rock bands of the eighties and nineties. The group formed in Los Angeles in the 1984, and gained success with a string of radio hits such as "Cherry Pie," "Uncle Tom's Cabin," and "Heaven." They are currently scheduled for January 27 and 28 shows at Cactus Pete's Resort Casino in Jackpot, before heading back east to wrap up their tour in June.
The band has been performing without longtime lead vocalist Jani Lane for a number of years now, and ex-Lynch Mob singer Robert Mason has worked out nicely in Lane's absence. "Cherry Pie," and "Heaven," were huge hits of theirs on the Billboard Hot 100. The five albums they released between 1989 and 1996 have sold more than 10 million copies, according to musicianguide.com.
The band's 1989 debut album, "Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinkin' Rich," was released on the Columbia Records label and is regarded as their most popular. Warrant will perform in the venue's Gala Showroom at 9 P.M. on January 27, and at 8 P.M. on January 28. Jackpot is located just 42 miles south of Twin Falls, Idaho.
Cactus Pete's Resort Casino also offers weekly promotions for those that want to book overnight stays for the performances. The venue is located at 1385 Highway 93, in Jackpot. Cactus Pete's Resort Casino has an onsite restaurant and multiple bars.
