Leaking radiation is creating concern, not only in Japan, but in the United States as well. State and federal agencies have, and continue to monitor radiation levels. Idaho has two sites, one in Idaho Falls and the other in Meridian. Less than two weeks ago they began to pick up traces of Xenon and Iodine. Those are the gasses that are leaking from the damaged power plant in Japan. But Mark Dietrich with the Department of Environmental Quality says there's no reason to be concerned.  Dietrich says that the equipment they use is sensitive to the smallest amounts of radioactive particles. Another worry that Dietrich has is people taking Potassium Iodide in fear of radiation poisoning.  At this point he says that is not necessary, and could in fact make people sick.
