Magic Valley Groups Get Grants From Idaho Foodbank
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) Three Magic Valley organizations have received a combined total of $11,800 in grants from the Idaho Food Bank. The nonprofit awarded a $5,000 grant to the Hagerman Senior and Community Center, $1,800 to the Idaho Hunters Feeding the Hungry in Jerome, and $5,000 to the Twin Falls Senior Center. The Idaho Foodbank says a total of 34 organizations in the state received grants including the Blaine County Hunger Coalition that got a $5,000 grant. The Foodbank says taxpayers donated more on their tax forms to the Idaho Food Bank Fund that totaled $110,000, up from $88,800 last year. Idahoans gave nearly as much as they did in 2014 with $110,496. Any nonprofit organizations can apply for grants from the Fund which is a cooperative between the Idaho Foodbank, Community Action Partnership Association of Idaho, and Catholic Charities of Idaho.
