(KLIX)- A major intersection in Twin Falls is slated to get a makeover set to begin in July. The North Five
Points intersection will be repaved starting July 15th. It’s the intersection
of Shoshone, Addison and Blue Lakes. The pavement in the area has deteriorated
the past few years. The project will smooth out the pavement. Nathan Jerke
with the Idaho Transportation Department says this is a state project because
its Technically Highway 93. So the city has no involvement what so ever in the
reconstruction. Jerke says the intersection will be completely closed at night from 10pm to 6am starting the 15th and going for 3 days. Jerke says this will allow work to go much faster. Traffic will be diverted around the intersection to side streets. All lanes of traffic will be open during the day.
