NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — Nampa School District officials are investigating an incident involving alleged comments made by a teacher about the way a student was dressed. KTVB-TV reports the student's family took to social media to detail the incident on a Facebook page called "West Middle School owes an Apology." According to the online posts, the student's teacher called him "girl pants" in front of the class, because of the tight-fitting jeans he was wearing.

That resulted in other classmates calling the boy similar names, the family said. District spokeswoman Allison Westfall says the family spoke to the teacher and principal about the incident during parent-teacher conferences, but was eventually asked to leave. District officials say some online comments have turned violent, prompting the district to notify police about threats against staff.
