Paint Magic Needs More Homes to Paint
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- Homes are needed for painting this year for the annual Paint Magic community service project.
Organizers say qualified applicants are short this year in the Twin Falls area. Paint Magic has been organizing teams of community businesses, churches and other community minded citizens to help paint the homes of the elderly.
According to Karen Stoker, Treasurer of Paint Magic, they need more applicants "We are really short, we have more teams in the Twin Falls area than we have applications. So we are really wanting to ask homeowners in the Magic Valley area, especially Twin Falls area, to take and fill our one of those applications and get it in if your home needs to be painted."
Stoker says anyone 65 years old and up who owns their home can apply. The home must be made of material that can be painted. Qualified disabled citizens are also welcome to apply. If you qualify as an applicant members of Paint Magic will inspect the home to see if it can be painted by a team.
Application can be picked up at South Central Community Action Partnership at 550 Washington St S, in Twin Falls, or the College of Southern Idaho's Office on Aging at 315 Falls Ave, Twin Falls, or any senior center. DEADLINE TO APPLY IS JUNE 17.
