Pocatello Facebook “Hoax” Sends Schools Into Lock Down
A hoax. That’s what Pocatello police are calling a Facebook posting that sent area schools into lock down this morning. Kim Ellis, with the Pocatello police department say officers were able to identify the suspect behind a Facebook "Event" post, which indicated a school shooting would occur Monday afternoon. The posting kept district 25 schools under lock down for most of the morning. Police took the suspect into custody on a separate charge, and said the Facebook posting was a hoax. They were also able to determine that no real threat existed.
