Santa Claus Arrested for DUI in Post Falls

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Christmas may be over but Santa is still making news as he was recently arrested for drunken driving in Post Falls.

KREM-TV in Spokane, Washington, reports that a Washington man legally named Santa Claus pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of reckless driving on Friday.

Claus, whose mugshot features a big white beard, was arrested Thursday night after Post Falls officers saw him driving the wrong way.

According to police documents, the 67-year-old Claus said he wasn't from around Post Falls and was unfamiliar with the streets. He was arrested for DUI and police noted he was cooperative throughout.
