Semi Rear-ends Crane Truck Near Idaho Falls, One Injured
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)-A Pocatello man was hospitalized Monday when he hit a slow moving crane truck in his semi-truck in eastern Idaho.
According to Idaho State Police, 45-year-old Robert Sorrell Jr. was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center when his Kenworth semi-truck with trailer loaded with corn hit the back of a crane truck on Interstate 15 just south of Idaho Falls a little after 1 p.m.
ISP said in a statement, the crane truck was going about 45 mph in the right lane when it was hit, the driver, Michael Lint, of Idaho Falls, had been wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Northbound I15 was blocked for more than four hours. The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office and Idaho Ambulance and Fire also responded to the crash.
