I don't get to go to the movie theater very often which is probably why this bothers me so much.

The problem is that I paid the same price this second time as the first time and had no idea I was getting put in an inferior theater room.

Last year I went to the Magic Valley Cinema 13 and saw Thor: Ragnarok and saw it in one of their bigger theater rooms and it was amazing! A few weeks later, my kids wanted to go see it so I decided it was a good idea (the movie and theater were great). What I didn't know was that this was towards the end of the run in theater and they had moved the showing into one of the smaller theaters. I was immediately disappointed and regretted it. Not just the fact that the theater was smaller, the seats seemed to be in worse condition and during the movie one of the front right speakers sounded blown and was actually buzzing really loud with the bass and explosions.

Whatever, better than my home theater right? The problem is that I paid the same price this second time as the first time and had no idea I was getting put in an inferior theater room. Shouldn't these small rooms cost less (maybe they could be a dollar room)?

Do you think this is fair to pay the same for all rooms though they aren't equal? Have you had this same experience and how did you feel about it?

Check the CinemaWest site for the full list of movies currently showing.
