Southern Idaho Counties Approved to Get Federal Emergency Help
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) Federal officials say emergency assistance has been approved for several counties in southern Idaho that were impacted by flooding earlier this year. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced federal disaster assistance is available to Blaine, Gooding, Elmore, Camas, and Custer counties due to flooding, landslides, and mudslides between May 6 and June 16, 2017. State and local governments will have access to federal funding on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and repair of facilities; some private nonprofit groups are also eligible for funding.
