It is nice to see that some things never change. The mysterious booms seem to have made a come back to the Twin Falls area. I heard it at my home near O'Leary Middle School and I know others have as well.
It has been 16 years since a Jerome man went missing over the 4th of July weekend. Luis Rodriguez-Hernandez was last seen leaving his home on July 4th, 2005 to head to work and he never made it home.
This mystery was pretty interesting from a genealogy and scientific perspective. There is so much more we can do now with technology than 20 years ago.
My research was unable to uncover this beauty's name who may have been one of the earliest Idaho spud vixens. Maybe you'll have better luck solving this mystery.
UPDATE: Authorities say they now know what was causing the "booms" in the Shoshone area during the weekend. According to the Shoshone Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies determined the sounds were made by Tannerite, or exploding targets, southwest of Shoshone.
