The Magic Valley: Too Much Growth?

Consensus is the Magic Valley is in boomtown status.

I’ve heard it from elected politicians in Twin Falls as well as yesterday in Jerome.  Driving home, I took a few photographs underscoring what we’re seeing.  We can’t stop people from freely moving and we can’t tell people what to do with their property.  Selling to a developer is a nice way to build a nest egg and build it fast.

What are your thoughts on growth?  Some friends are telling me they would find a slower pace of life elsewhere if they could.  My choice would be somewhere like Swan Valley. The only downside is the dam, but if it ever failed I wouldn’t have much time to ponder consequences.
