I posted some pictures to Facebook this week of new construction. This is on Cheney Drive at Washington Street. Someone facetiously suggested it would be the location of another bank. Yesterday, I was at Walmart and watching the construction and I wondered aloud to a man who works at the store what was going up next door. He explained he didn’t know.

I suggested one theory was a new Burger King. “Great, another fast food restaurant,” he replied. “Just what we need.”

It appears the building boom is becoming a bit redundant around town. On the bright side, the new hotel near the hospital is nearing completion.
