(KLIX)-The Thompson Creek Fire burning near Magic Mountain Ski area was determined 60% contained during the weekend. So far the fire has burned 150 acres. Cooler weather and precipitation helped fire fighters stop the fire from growing. Fire crews were able to hold the blaze within containment lines. Rock Creek Road was opened up to the general public on Sunday. Forest Service road 500 is still closed while crews mop up around the fire. Forest Service officials have not said what started the fire, however they did stress vigilance when building camp fires. They ask that people make sure that their camp fires are completely out before leaving them.
