HAILEY, Idaho (KLIX) Wood River Valley law enforcement say a Twin Falls man was found dead several days after an apparent ATV accident west of Hailey during the weekend. According to the Blaine County sheriff, the body of Edwin L. McVey, age 78, was found on Saturday, July 1 at just before 1 p.m underneath a Suzuki ATV that had flipped over . Someone had reported finding McVey near Richardson Summit in Croy Canyon, west of Hailey. Blaine County investigators say it appeared McVey was going down a two-track road when the ATV slipped into a deep rut, causing it to overturn on top of him.

The sheriff's office said McVey was not wearing a helmet and had serious blunt force trauma to his head and upper body. McVey had been riding alone and was dead for several days before being found.
