Urgent Care To Open At Old Twin Falls ID Tomato's Location

It's been roughly seven weeks since the Tomato's Italian Grill on Blue Lakes Boulevard closed down. It's now been confirmed that an urgent care business that services Twin Falls, Jerome, and Burley is planning to expand into the former restaurant's location.

For those of you that have driven past the old Tomato's Italian Grill, at 1309 Blue Lakes Boulevard North, you might have seen the sign hanging on the property that mentions the expansion. The urgent care's Facebook page posted "We're expanding to better serve you," back on August 19, 2021, approximately three months before the restaurant officially closed its doors.

I made a phone call to the Twin Falls Urgent Care, at 208-933-4440, on Thursday morning and had the news confirmed by an office staffer.

"Yes, we are expanding to that site," the employee said when I inquired about the sign on the building. A rather lengthy exchange among community members took place on the Magic Valley Rants and Raves Facebook regarding the news recently as well, with some area residents expressing both joy and frustration. The building is an ideal site for such a business, as it is spacious and offers plenty of parking.

The urgent care has posted that they are hiring full-time and part-time healthcare professionals and office staff to fill positions for the new location. There hasn't been given any timeline yet as to when the new office will open. There is no doubt a lot of work that needs to go into transforming the old restaurant into a healthcare facility.
