It's Veterans Day…a time to honor all those who have served in uniform, in peace or in war. There will be several ceremonies and observances around the valley to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served our country. One of those observances will take place Friday from ten until two at Pioneer Federal Credit Union at 1439 No. College road in Twin Falls. Spokeswoman Terry Rowe says it's a chance to say thank you to those who gave so much for our community and our country. Meanwhile, Idaho senator Mike Crapo is honoring 14 Idahoans this Veterans Day weekend in ceremonies to be held in Boise, Pocatello, Twin Falls and Lewiston. Sen. Crapo will honor eight veterans and six volunteers in Idaho with the “Spirit of Freedom” award which he’s bestowed since 2002 to veterans and people who help them. Crapo's staff will be on hand to present the Twin Falls award as part of the traditional Veterans Day ceremony at City Park starting at eleven o'clock this morning. Because it is a holiday all federal and state offices will be closed as well as most city offices. There will be no mail today, and the library and most banks are also closed for the holiday.
