Wind Advisory Issued For The Magic Valley
Tuesday is going to be a very windy day in the Western Magic Valley. There is a Wind Advisory in effect from noon to 8 pm tomorrow (April 15, 2014).
It will become very windy in Southern Idaho on Tuesday (April 15, 2014). It will start with a cold front on Tuesday morning followed by gusty West and Northwest winds Tuesday afternoon through early evening.
The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Wind Advisory for the upper Treasure Valley east of Boise, Western Magic Valley, Southwest Idaho highlands, and Southern Twin Falls county, which is in effect from noon to 8 pm Tuesday (April 15, 2014).
- Winds: Sustained West or Northwest 30 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph
- Timing: Noon to 8 PM Tuesday, April 15, 2014
- Impacts: Travel hazard for high profile vehicles on North-South roads due to cross winds. Local blowing dust and reduced visibility near plowed fields.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 30 mph or gusts of at least 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
