Winds Gusting Up To 55 MPH in Twin Falls
There is currently a Wind Advisory in effect in the Magic Valley until 8pm tonight. Winds are gusting up to 55 miles per hour so we did what any rational radio station would do: we sent Nate Bird out in it.
In the photos, Nate is standing next to our Townsquare Media sign and you can clearly see the rain and wind pounding off of it. Nate was actually able to lean into the wind and not fall down.
From the National Weather Service in Boise:
The Wind will cause a travel hazard for high profile vehicles, reduced visibility in areas of blowing dust, and possible property damage with small branches torn off trees.
Precautionary/preparedness actions: A wind advisory means that sustained winds of at least 30 mph or gusts of at least 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
The wind is blowing so hard we actually saw a tree in our neighbor's yard blown down. Be careful out there! We have the latest forecast available and make sure to listen to our online stream for the latest news.
