Winter Storm Warning Issued For The Magic Valley
The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Magic Valley until 11am Friday (Feb. 8th).

Winter Storm Warning for The Magic Valley
The National Weather Service in Boise has upgraded the Winter Storm Watch to a Winter Storm Warning for heavy and blowing snow across the southwest highlands, Western Magic Valley, and Southern twin falls county. The Warning remains in effect from 2 am Friday to 11 am Saturday.
- Snow Amounts: Up to 6 inches possible in the lower elevations with up to a foot possible in higher elevations.
- Winds: Northwest increasing to 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph Friday through Saturday morning.
- Impacts: Travel may become hazardous due to snow and blowing snow especially across highway 51 and 93.
Precautionary/preparedness actions
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow and blowing snow means that significant amounts of snow will make travel dangerous. Strong winds will also cause blowing and drifting of snow and will limit visibilities. Only travel in an emergency. If you must Travel keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
