Woman Killed in Head-on Crash with Lumber Truck Near Payette

PAYETTE, Idaho (KLIX)-A Payette woman died in a head-on crash with a lumber truck on U.S. Highway 95 Thursday evening.

According to Idaho State Police, 73-year-old Susan Griffin was killed when she collided with a semi-truck hauling two trailers full of lumber just north of Payette at around 8 p.m. ISP said Griffin, driving a Chrysler minivan, had not been wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the truck, 33-year-old Richard Young, was not injured in the crash. ISP says the crash is still under investigation.
