Albion Man To Be Sentenced On Child Sex Charges

An  Albion man has entered a guilty plea to a child sex charge. In exchange for his guilty plea, 35 year old Cory Wickel will not face further charges involving the same victim in Cassia County.  The Times News reports that Wickel was charged with lewd conduct with a child under 16 after having had several sexual encounters with the female relative when she ranged from six to twelve years of age.  Wickel paid a $25,000 bond and was released from jail.  A no-contact order is in place between him and the victim.  He’s scheduled for sentencing on April 5th.  He could be sentenced to life in prison and a $50,000 fine.
