An Abundance of Energy

More discussion today on the future of energy prices and this is one area where optimism reigns.

We’re all aware fluctuations may still be a common occurrence through the next decade but increasingly alternatives are filling the void.  A story at Forbes suggests the day will soon arrive when oil, coal and natural gas will be historic footnotes.  I will also note much of the research and development into new technologies was funded privately.

I think it tells us many of the world’s problems often go away despite our fears.  Consider the birds don’t worry about where their next meals come from.  Of course if I was heavily invested in oil stocks I would be looking for a hedge!
