Are Dreams Often a Message From God?

I’ve a friend, and he pastors what could be the largest Southern Baptist Church in Idaho.

His name is Paul Thompson.  Across town, my friend Keith Thompson is associate pastor of an evangelical Baptist Church.  I pick on them by calling them the Thompson brothers and it gets a good laugh.  Both are regulars on my show and both get very good response on-air when talking about faith issues (Keith is a SGT with State Police in his other job and appears often in that capacity).

I spent years where I rarely dreamed about work, but for some strange reason lately have had several dreams about jobs present and past.

This week, I dreamed Paul was doing an outdoor community festival dedicated to how we can better put God back into our daily lives and in the dream I convinced him to allow me to broadcast it live on radio.  He gladly agreed and the big day came and it was sunny and warm (how I wish it was our current weather!)

As he was speaking, I was standing and listening and impressed by how spellbinding a speaker he was and it resonated with the crowd.  Then, I was horrified when I realized I’d forgotten to bring the equipment for the live broadcast and the radio station had nothing but dead-air for the last half hour.

Do you think God is telling me something?
