HAILEY, Idaho (KLIX) Blaine County officials say people have reported hearing explosions this last weekend in the Wood River Valley. According to the Blaine County Sheriff's Office, those sounds came from the installation of power lines in the valley. The sheriff's office says Idaho Power is putting in a new power line from Hagerman to the Wood River Valley and that the sounds were a result of crews splicing the wires. The public should expect to hear more of the sounds in the next two weeks or so, with about four to ten implosive sounds a day. Work is expected to continue into the Croy Creek and Rock Creek areas.
