The Bureau of Land Management has been working on a draft environmental review of the China Mountain Wind Project near Rogerson for several months.  Now that draft review is completed and the BLM would like to get input from you regarding the project.  The wind farm has been proposed on over 30,000 acres of BLM land in the Browns’ Bench area in southern Twin Falls County.  The turbines could generate over 400 megawatts of electricity when completed.  The BLM will be holding two meeting to get your feedback on the projects and that information will be included in the final review.  A meeting is scheduled for Jackpot, NV. At the Jackpot Recreation Center next Wednesday at 4 o’clock and other meeting is scheduled for Twin Falls at the Red Lion Hotel on Thursday at 4 o’clock.  Anyone who wishes to offer an opinion is encouraged to attend.
