Crews Recover Missing Boater at Salmon Falls Reservoir Saturday
ROGERSON, Idaho (KLIX)-Emergency crews are searching for a missing boater after a 911 call this morning from Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir in southern Twin Falls County.
According to Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Lori Stewart, the call came in just before 10 a.m. from two people in a boat on the reservoir claiming it was taking on water and then lost connection.
Twin Falls deputies, Air St. Luke's, Magic Valley Paramedics and Officers with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game responded and were able to pull 65-year-old James Wilson, of Jerome, from the water and fly him to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center.
The search continued for the missing boat and recovery of missing man Dr. Eugene Holm, 80, of Heyburn. The search was called off late Friday after the Cassia County Dive Team was able to locate the boat and marked the area with a buoy.
The recovery resumed Saturday morning with help from the Bonneville County Search and Rescue Dive Team and Bingham County Search and Rescue Dive Team, which were able to locate and recover the body by the afternoon.
