Fire Sparks Near Shoshone

SHOSHONE, Idaho (KLIX)-A brush fire broke out just south of Shoshone on the Notch Butte Wednesday afternoon. According to the Bureau of Land Management, the South Notch Fire was estimated Wednesday evening at around 300 acres in size.

Crews from the Jerome Rural Fire District and Notch Butte Rural Fire Protection Association responded to assist federal crews. Crews worked to have the fire contained by 9 p.m. Wednesday. They expect to have it fully controlled by 4 p.m. Thursday.
