Tuesday will bring an 80% chance of rain and winds gusting upwards of 55 miles per hour. The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a High Wind Watch for Tuesday at noon through 8 pm.

From the National Weather Service:

A high wind watch means there is the potential for a hazardous High wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 55 mph or stronger may occur.

A high wind watch remains in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening. Winds will be westerly 35 to 45 mph with gusts to 55 mph possible.

The wind and rain will be a severe ravel hazard with property damage possible. There will be reduced visibility in blowing dust, branches or small tree limbs torn off trees, and power outages will be possible.

Overnight lows on Tuesday will drop down to just above freezing temperatures, so there is the possibility of ice on the road during your morning commute Wednesday. Please slow down, give yourself extra time in the morning, and ensure that your mobile phone is fully charged in case of emergency.
