HAILEY, Idaho (KLIX) Removing large animals like elk and moose is becoming a common occurrence in the Wood River Valley for wildlife conservation officers.

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game shared another photo on their Facebook page Thursday night of an elk trapped in a Hailey basement after falling through a window. Just last weekend, officers had to remove a moose from a basement. Last winter, officers had to help remove an elk from the lower levels of a home. Idaho Fish and Game notes homeowners may want to cover their window wells to prevent this from happening again.
