AMERICAN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)-A 33-year-old man is behind bars accused of stealing an SUV and pickup on Monday in the American Falls area.

According to the Power County Sheriff's Office, Braxton Adams was charged with grand theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, and felony malicious injury to property. The sheriff's office said in a statement that a farmer reported his pickup, parked in front of a shop, had been stolen at around 4:19 p.m. in the Lake Channel Area, west of Power County.

The farmer told other farmers in the area to look out for the pickup and as deputies arrived someone reported seeing the stolen vehicle. Law enforcement was able to find Adams and booked him into the Power County Jail. The sheriff's office also allege Adams had stolen a Chevrolet Tahoe in Idaho Falls earlier in the day and had abandoned it near the area were the pickup was taken.
