McCALL, Idaho (KTVB) - A man died Saturday in a mountain biking accident at Brundage Mountain, the McCall Fire Department has confirmed.

McCall Fire and EMS Chief Mark Billmire said personnel from the department were dispatched to the mountain at around 4:30 p.m. Initial information indicated that the victim was unconscious, not breathing and had no pulse, and that CPR was being performed. Billmire said dispatch indicated that the victim was a 58-year-old male. An air ambulance was requested, Billmire said, and the EMS crew was escorted to the crash scene by resort staff.

Resuscitation was attempted without response, Billmire said, but those efforts were stopped at the direction of a physician contacted at St. Luke’s McCall Hospital. The air ambulance was canceled, and the victim was transported to the lodge and then to St. Luke’s McCall Hospital. The Adams County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
