UPDATE 01/11: I-84 South to Utah is Open

Idaho Transportation Department says I-84 southbound to the Utah state line is open, however, they caution drivers to be careful.

Idaho Transportation Department says I-84 southbound to the Utah state line is still closed. Idaho State Highway 81 from just south of Declo to Malta is also closed to due weather conditions.

The Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect till 6 PM today and lots of wind continues to blow the snow onto the roadways. Some of those roadways are being compromised because of that.
The Idaho Transportation Department is reporting:
I-84 in both directions: Road closed.
Between Exit 222: I-86 and The Utah State Line (11 to 65 miles east of the Heyburn area). The road is closed because of drifting snow on the roadway and due to reduced visibility.
