
Semi Truck Uses Emergency Cross Over on I-86, Gets Hit by Pickup
CHUBBUCK, Idaho (KLIX) A semi truck attempting to use the emergency cross over on Interstate 86 was hit by a pickup truck late this morning near Chubbuck.
A little after 11 a.m. Victor Butler was driving a Freightliner semi with trailer headed east on I-86 when he tried to use the emergency crossing, reserved only for authorized and emergency vehicles, according to Idaho State Police.
A brand new Toyota Tundra, driven by Austin Webb, 37, of Idaho Falls, was headed in the same direction and hit the semi. ISP says everyone involved was wearing a seat belt. No one was injured. The crash blocked both lanes of the interstate for about an hour and a half.
