Sheep Statues Stolen From Twin Falls Nativity Scene
Officials say two ceramic sheep statues have been stolen from the City of Twin Falls' nativity scene. City parks and recreation workers noticed the statues were missing on Wednesday. The sheep were last seen a week ago. The small figures lay next to the manger in the nativity scene in the city band shell. The nativity scene was surrounded by chain link fence that someone must climb to gain access. The Italian-made statues are about 16’’ in height and about 18’’ in length. The city values each statue at approximately $300. Former Twin Falls City Mayor Howard Allen and his brother Chuck Allen donated the nativity scene 28 years ago to the City of Twin Falls. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the statues should call the Twin Falls Police Department at 735-4357.
