TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- Idaho transportation officials have reopened a rest area that had been damaged by vandalism earlier this year.

According to the Idaho Transportation Department the  Juniper Rest Area along Interstate 84 near the Utah state line had been hit by vandals in early February. It is the first rest area for travelers coming into Idaho on that stretch of interstate.  The men’s restroom had to be shut down since then for repairs that cost the state $13,000.

Law enforcement have not been able to track down suspects and no one has come forward. A janitor discovered the damaged during maintenance. The women’s and family facilities were not damaged.
