Winter Storm Watch for Southern Idaho
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) Snow is expected to move across southern Idaho, including south Twin Falls County. The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the western part of the Magic Valley and Camas Prairie for Saturday morning. The storm system is expected to make its way to south Twin Falls County bringing with it several inches of snow. Lower elevations may see anywhere from one to three inches of snow, while four to six inches in the mountain-valleys, and upwards of eight inches of snow above 6,000 feet. The NWS Boise says winds from 10 to 20 mph on Saturday could reduce visibility with the possibility of blowing snow. The NWS has also issued a Special Weather Statement for parts of the eastern Magic Valley including Oakley, Fish Creek Summit and Sweetzer Summit east of Malta. Snow is expected to accumulate on roads from four to eight inches with blowing and drifting snow possible.
