KETCHUM, Idaho (KLIX) After a three month pause work crews will get back to work at the Big Wood River Bridge near Ketchum.

The Idaho Transportation Department says workers will begin setting eight concrete girders on the east side of the bridge Thursday night. The bridge will be reduced to one lane of travel and flaggers will help guide traffic through the area. Work to place the girders will start at 9 p.m. and should end before the Friday morning commute.

Work on the bridge replacement started at the beginning of last year and will finish sometime in late summer. During construction there will be two lanes in each direction limited to 35 mph. The contractor is trying to complete work so it remove a crane before water levels begin to rise in the Big Wood River.
